Thus makes a choreographer

Full cast joins together to begin learning to inhabit the spirit of tradition

These past two weeks have been nothing short of action packed!

I arrived two weeks ago in Kansas to work on my first project as choreographer at Music Theatre Wichita, directed by Rob Schneider.

It was non-stop staging, dancing, scheduling, meeting, rehearsing, changing and so much more. Not to mention that the resident ensemble performs in 5 different shows over 3 months. For them, the work is truly endless all summer.

We started out with only a vision in our heads and over the two weeks have shaped the show into something to be proud of. Much thanks to the cast, the creative team, and all the people behind the scenes who made it happen on such a fast time line. In fact, we may be more rehearsed than the other shows this season!

It’s been my pleasure to officially be a part of The Jerome Robbins Trust and a holder of this choreographic legacy.

Congratulations to the cast for a fantastic opening!
