Travel So Cheap You'll be Seen

If you're an actor or dancer you're currently carting your rolling carry-on to various buildings throughout NYC, possibly in between cities, in hopes you find a job that pays to replace all the debts you've racked up on audition expenses.

I’ve done it while living in Chicago. One of my favorite past times is traveling to NYC for auditions on the days between performing in operas at the Lyric Opera of Chicago.

I did it cheaply AND I booked jobs!

Southwest is the leader in airline customer service, which is no small feat in an age where airlines are routinely hung out to dry on social media after a bad customer service experience.

I've routinely booked dirt cheap flights (I mean $10 round-trip cheap) in advance for potential auditions using Southwest miles. If you don't already know, your Southwest purchases are refundable! It's the only leader in the airline industry that allows you to cancel your flight outside of the 24 hour window and still get your money or points back!

I sing the praises of my Southwest Rewards card not only because of their customer service and policies, but because I rack up miles by using the card for daily purchases and they go a LONG way. After purchasing countless round-trip flights for $10, you wouldn't disagree! At that price, there's literally zero risk to going to out-of-state auditions.

For years this was the only card that I would pay the yearly membership fee on ($69) because I truly found it so rewarding with everyday use, which is not the case with most of my cards. You even get anniversary bonus points every year of your card's “birthday""!

If you find yourself hungry for domestic travel and wanting a job, the Southwest Rewards card is MUST. With the airline's generous refund policy you literally are signing up with zero risk (assuming you can manage your finances!) Their “Plus” card will be a great starter for you beginners.

Use this referral link HERE to apply for my favorite Southwest cards. The opening offer award is 40,000 points after spending only $1,000 in the first 3 months of account opening. Does that seem daunting? It did to me at first, too, but $1,000 in 3 months is done pretty easily using my cards for everyday purchases. It’s so easy now I do $3000 in three months without breaking a sweat. Apply below:
